NDK Foundation

The NDK Foundation was established in July 2016 to execute the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities of NDK Financial Services Limited. NDK recognises the role of good corporate citizenship in its positioning agenda and ensures that all CSR initiatives are consistent with the overall business objectives while sustaining mutually beneficial relationships with our business and social partners.

NDK Foundation has three (3) areas of focus:

  • Education (with focus on infrastructural development, establishment of scholarship schemes).
  • Health (with focus on infrastructural development, assisting specific needs).
  • Sports (infrastructure and needs related to Hockey).

The Foundation is incorporated as a separate legal entity with its own independent Board of Trustees whose mandate is to oversee the Foundation’s operations.  Its commitment is to actively execute sustainable socio-economic and developmental programmes in the communities and country at large.  The Foundation’s activities are funded with a seed fund of Ghc 2,000,000.00.

Education

Sponsorship

Recognizing education as a powerful tool in Social and Economic Development we have over the years sponsored students through the tertiary and secondary education levels. NDK currently sponsors the educational needs of four (4) students at the Tertiary and SHS levels. The company in the past has sponsored brilliant medical students within our community and today these individuals are qualified doctors making a contribution to our nation.

Infrastructure

In March 2006 NDK built a primary school in Puteh, the Puteh Presby Primary School serves to educate a number of pupils each year. We continue to support the school and its administration in nurturing the next generation.

In 2012 we donated computers to the St Barnabas Anglican school and Osu Presbyterian Preparatory school to ensure ICT access for the students.

Health

NDK believes in the age-old saying that a healthy nation is a wealthy nation. For this reason, NDK’s flagship health program, the annual breast and prostate cancer screening initiatives have benefitted over 5000 men and women since its inception in 2016.

This initiative is a partnership between NDK and Total House Clinic which is ultimately aimed at improving the health and wellbeing of clients, staff, and members within the operational areas of NDK in Accra and Tema.

The NDK Foundation has also facilitated the organisation of voluntary blood donation by staff to the National Blood Bank to save lives.

Sports

NDK is known for its affiliation with Hockey. We have been an ardent sponsorer and supporter of the National Hockey team in their international bids. We are also the proud patrons of our own Hockey team: The Financiers. The Financiers continue to win trophies and be an active member of the Greater Accra Hockey League. We however threw our weight behind several other sports and most notably we sponsored the Black stars during the 2012 African Cup of Nations.
