Mr. Richard Akpokavie – Chairman

Mr. Richard Akpokavie is an astute legal practitioner, with over 25 years experience in legal practice. In 1990, he joined A. Ossei Aidooh & Co, Aristo Chambers as a private legal practitioner and became a Managing Partner after 6 years. He continues to practice avidly and specializes in Maritime law as well as general Corporate law.

He holds an LLB (Hons) and BL from the Ghana Sch. of Law. He worked at Tema Development Corporation, where he later became the Director.
Mr. Richard Akpokavie is a Member of the Ghana Bar Association and a member of the Association of Chartered Mediators and Arbitrators. He is the President of the Ghana Hockey Association and is the current Secretary General of the Ghana Olympic Committee.

Mr. Oko-Nikoi Dzani – Managing Director

Mr. Oko-Nikoi Dzani is the founder of NDK Financial Services. He is a Chartered Accountant by profession, having trained with Pannell Fitzpatrick & Co. now PKF Chartered Accountants & Auditors and holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Development Finance from the University of Birmingham. He also holds an MBA (Entrepreneurship) from Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA). He is a product of Achimota Secondary School.

He has extensive Banking and Finance experience spanning over 3 decades. Prior to setting up NDK, he spent over 10 years working in the Banking industry. In 1980, he joined SSB now SG-SSB as Deputy Manager and left as a Senior Manager in 1986. He was appointed Deputy Managing Director at Ghana Co-operative Bank in 1986 and later became the Managing Director in 1988 till his departure in 1992.

Mr. Dzani has held key positions locally and internationally and served on several Boards in private and public institutions. He was Chairman of the Greater Accra Lands Commission, 2nd Vice President of the Ghana Employers Association, Member of the National Pensions Regulatory Commission (NPRC), Member of the Finance Sub-Committee of the International Hockey Federation (FIH), President of the Ghana Hockey Association, a Council Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICA), Member of the Customs Excise and Preventive Service (CEPS) Board, and the Hon. Treasurer of the Accra Ridge Church.

Currently he serves on several Boards. He was the President of Association of Non Bank Financial Institutions (ANFI) and now President of the Association of Finance Houses (AFH).

Mr. Dzani is an ardent fan of hockey, which he also played for several years. His passion for hockey resulted in him taking on key Administrative and Managerial roles such as, Finance Sub Committee Member of the International Hockey Federation, Member of the African Hockey Federation, 2nd Vice President of the African Hockey Federation and for more than 15 years, President of the Ghana Hockey Association as Deputy Managing.

Mrs. Kuorkor Ayisa – Deputy Managing Director/Member

Mrs. Kuorkor Ayisa has a BA Arts in English Literature & a Minor in Biology from Bryn Mawr College, USA; a Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing Management from the University of Cape Town, South Africa, and an MBA, specializing in Strategy from the Olin Business School of Babson College, Massachusetts USA.

Prior to joining NDK in 2013, she had over 7 years working experience in various roles in Marketing, Publishing and the Banking industry. She has had previous Banking experiences with Stanbic Bank Ghana, The Central Bank of Ghana and Standard Bank Advisory in China.

Mrs. Essie Humphrey Ackumey

Mrs. Essie Humphrey Ackumey – Member

Ms. H. Essie Humphrey-Ackumey has almost thirty (30) years’ experience in Banking and Finance, Company Law and Practice, Human Rights, Insurance and Labour related issues. She previously worked with the State Insurance Company (now SIC Insurance Company Ltd), The Trust Bank Limited (now Ecobank Ghana Limited), Cal Merchant Bank (now CAL Bank Limited), and the UN Refugee Agency Representation in Ghana.  She incorporated the CAL Asset Management Company Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of CAL Bank Limited, and became its first Company Secretary.

She joined Guinness Ghana Breweries Limited as Legal Counsel in March 2013 and was appointed Company Secretary in May 22, 2013 and left the business in January 2017.

Prior to joining GGBL she was the Head of Legal and Company Secretary of Fidelity Bank Ghana Limited and Company Secretary of Fidelity Asia Bank Limited, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

She also has experience in the health sector.

She holds a BA (Hons) Degree in Law and Psychology and a Subsidiary Degree in Ancient History and Biology from the University of Keele, Staffordshire, England.  She was called to the Bar of England and Wales at Lincoln’s Inn.  Essie is also an Advocate and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Ghana. She is passionate about the law and also gives back to the community by doing pro bono work.

Mrs. Sophia F. Annan – Member

Mrs. Sophia Frema Annan is a Chartered Accountant whose experience in the field of Finance spans from 1986 to present. She is currently a Consultant at Kamerf Business Support, Accountants and Business Advisors, Accra.

She was the General Manager of Finance for PASICO Ghana Limited from 2007 to 2010. Before joining PASICO, she worked with PKF Ghana (formerly Pannell Kerr Forster) for 9 years, where she started as an Audit Manager and rose to become a Senior Audit Manager.

Mrs. Annan was trained at Pannell Kerr Forster, Emile Woolf College of Accountancy-London and Accountancy Tutors-London.

She is a Fellow Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and a member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants – Ghana (ICAG).

Mr. Daniel Nii Otokunor Sackey – Member

Mr. Daniel Nii Otokunor Sackey has had over thirty nine (39) experience in Accountancy, Finance and Administration with Private and Non-profit organisations.

He is currently the Managing Consultant of Ephesus Consulting Limited – a private Management and Financial Consultancy firm. From 1998 till he retired in 2015, he worked with Transroyal Ghana Limited where he served as Financial Controller and rose to become the Deputy Managing Director (Finance & Administration). He began his career as an Accountant for the Seventh Day Adventist between 1979 and 1985, after which he joined the Adventist Press as a Treasurer untill 1991. He later joined Gold Coast Motors Limited between 1996 and 1998, as Financial Controller.

Mr. Daniel Nii Otokunor Sackey has an MSc in Financial Management from the School of Oriental & African Studies – University of London, and a BSc Administration from the University of Ghana, Legon. He is also a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants-Ghana (ICAG). Additionally, he holds an ACCA Professional Diploma in International Finance Reporting (DipIFR)

He is currently a Board Member of Pension Alliance Trust.
